Objectives:

Foraminiferal distribution, Taxonomy. Study of sea level fluctuations and neotectonic activity, tectonic and geologic evolution of the Andaman Basin. Micropaleontological analyses of mangrove swamp sediments and beach rock formation, identification of upper and lower marsh fauna, and sea level indicators and taphonomy, size analyses, magnetic mineral analyses.
